At the beginning of any project, it’s important to develop a solid understanding by the entire construction team the project objectives and goals and to define expectations in a reasonable and achievable way. Understanding and communicating to all involved how the various elements will fit together for a successful outcome is crucial. TSG begins by producing a detailed project overview and construction analysis.
We work with all vendors and contractors to develop a complete project implementation plan and create task assignments as well as define dependencies and potential obstacles. It is important for all parties to understand the goals of the project as well as how not achieving those goals may negatively impact other contractors or vendors. This process not only clearly defines the timelines and assigns individual responsibilities; it also identifies any items not covered in the development of the project budget. |
| We can then identify any items with a long lead time when ordering for specific requirements and explicit logistical needs. With the responsibility of managing any project our ultimate goal is to take the approved design and budget and deliver a quality product for you the customer. The one certain thing about any project is that there will be changes made. The project manager’s job is to define the change required and ask the question “How does this change effect the following items?”
•Life Safety—is there any current or future safety consideration or additional requirements needed to protect personnel or property We constantly review all aspects of the ongoing project and dependencies. We have daily or weekly meetings with all involved to maintain an up-to-date project schedule. This schedule is not only posted at the work site for all to follow, but changes or additions are sent to all involved as they are made. |
